This one-hour session is for faculty and instructors at Dartmouth interested in learning how design-focused activities and projects can be added to any course to deepen student learning and engagement. The session will cover examples of how design experiences can be used across a range of disciplines (including humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and engineering). Through facilitated (and fun) activities, participants will begin brainstorming how they might craft engaging student design experiences into existing courses. No prior experience is necessary, and instructors from all disciplines are encouraged to attend.

After the workshop, all participants (as well as those who cannot attend) will be invited to apply for small grant opportunities to deepen any course’s learning objectives with design activities or projects!

This event will take place at the Design Lab in the Engineering and Computer Science Center (ECSC) room 007. Lunch will be provided.

This event is being held in person. If you are sick, please do not attend. If you cannot attend in person due to illness or disability, please email us at least 48 hours in advance at dcal@dartmouth.edu to make alternate arrangements. While we cannot promise an equivalent remote experience, we are happy to accommodate. Thank you!
