This timely 2025 documentary, co-written and co-directed by executive producer Jeff Bieber, traces the life and work of Hannah Arendt, German American Jewish philosopher and political thinker who died fifty years ago this year. Her experience of life in a totalitarian state and as a rightless refugee had a deep impact on her writing and understanding in her later works of political thinking which she saw as an active intellectual engagement with the interplay of social history, state law, citizenship, the individual, and the nation-state.
