How do artists, architects, and ecologists shape forms, structures, and environments in a rapidly changing world? Raw / Frame / Form: on material logics and constructive play is a dual lecture and panel featuring Emmett Zeifman (Stanford), who examines Material Forms in Architecture through the subject of Newer Brutalism (Log Journal, 2025), and Jon Lott (Harvard), who offers a philosophical inquiry into creating and experiencing space through the concept of Proximities (Park Books, 2026). Moderated by Zenovia Toloudi (Dartmouth), the event foregrounds a shift beyond surface aesthetics toward construction as a visible and legible act—where spatial outcomes emerge through processes of assembly, material agency, and ecological relations. Across the contributions, these conditions become a site of constructive play, where ephemerality and coexistence unfold across natural and social milieus.
