Overall Impact Beyond Debt Ceiling Deadline Could Be Long-Lasting (Marketplace)

If the government does ran out of money in August as a result of the debt crisis, the aftereffects are going to linger. Exactly what those effects will be, however, is unknown.

To try to get some idea of what might happen, the American Public Media radio program Marketplace called Matthew Slaughter, associate dean at the Tuck School of Business.
