During his interview as a guest on Bloomberg Television’s The Pulse, David Blanchflower, the Bruce V. Rauner Professor of Economics, discusses a range of topics, including unemployment, the U.S. presidential election, and the United Kingdom’s economy.

Citing a lack of economic policy planning by the U.K. government, Blanchflower says, “One of the things we teach our students in economics is that there are long and variable time lags. So if they wanted to have these measures having some effect today, they should have done it the day they came into office in 2010.”
