Dartmouth Women Finish at Top of Sailing World’s College Rankings

Sailing World unveiled its sixth and final college rankings of the fall on November 21 with Dartmouth atop the women’s poll. The Big Green earned 12 of the 15 first-place votes from the coaches to accumulate 216 points. Boston College was second, with two first-place votes and 210 points. Dartmouth was also among the top 10 in the co-ed rankings, finishing in ninth place.

The women won four regattas this fall, including the Atlantic Coast Championship (ACC). Deirdre Lambert ’15 and Carissa Crawford ’14 led the Big Green to a first-place finish in the A Division at the ACC, combining for 51 points to edge out runner-up St. Mary’s College (Md.). In the B Division, Chandler Salisbury ’13 and Madilyn Gamble ’13 sailed into second place, just behind Boston College.
