Dartmouth Trustees Diana Taylor ’77 and Bill Helman ’80 are the keynote speakers Saturday, April 6, at Dartmouth Ventures 2013, a conference on entrepreneurship. N.H. Governor Maggie Hassan will make opening remarks.

Held at the Tuck School of Business, the conference, which is open to the public, brings nationally recognized entrepreneurial leaders, many of them Dartmouth alumni, to the institution to discuss issues involved with entrepreneurial initiatives. Dartmouth Ventures 2013 is organized by the Dartmouth Entrepreneurial Network, the Entrepreneurship Initiative at Tuck, and Tuck’s Center for Private Equity and Entrepreneurship.

Diana Taylor is the managing director for Wolfensohn & Company, a strategic consulting and investment firm. Bill Helman is a partner with Greylock, a venture capital firm focused on investments in technology, consumer interest, and health care. The keynote addresses will focus on issues of success and social value, posing the question, “How does a company or idea create social value, no matter if it’s for-profit or non-profit?”

The annual conference was established in 2002 to foster an entrepreneurial spirit within the broader Dartmouth and Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center community of students, faculty, researchers, alumni and staff.
