Waiting with others on the courthouse steps were Dartmouth students Maureen Mentrek ’16 and Karna Adam ’16, who told The New York Times that they had come to the courthouse the night before to get in line. Both are First-Year Fellows with Dartmouth’s Nelson A. Rockefeller Center for Public Policy and the Social Sciences.
“It’s a huge landmark case and to actually be able to see it and to see these people in line so passionate about it is really great,” Adam told the Times. “It is a changing time for us, and these cases are like the civil rights cases used to be for our parents.”
