Geisel School of Medicine: 32 Hours

For medical students, the ritual of donning the white coat for the first time is an emotional first step on their journey into medicine. On September 28, 2013, the Dartmouth Geisel School of Medicine Class of 2017 gathered with faculty, family, and friends for the school’s annual White Coat Ceremony.

In this video, Geisel students Tyler Giberson, Vivienne Meljen, Asia Peek, and Shawn Li discuss what receiving the coat means to them, and talk about the great responsibility of caring for patients that comes with it.
