Every February, the Center for Gender and Student Engagement coordinates “V-February,” part of Dartmouth’s continuing effort to end violence against women and girls.
Throughout the month, students are encouraged to participate in a series of performances and discussions that highlight the importance of inclusivity and acceptance of all Dartmouth students regardless of differences.
New to V-February this month is an original production entitled “Voices,” directed by Semarley Jarrett ’14, Sandi Caalim ’13, and Jessica King Fredel ’17.
“Voices” aims to inspire and act as a platform for discussions of topics such as personal identity, being a woman at Dartmouth, gender, race, sexuality, and much more.
“Voices” takes place at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12, in Spaulding Auditorium. During the performance, 33 women from the Dartmouth community will share their stories and experiences through performance art. The event is free and open to the public.
Following the performance the directors and cast will lead a discussion.
