“I’m very pleased to be welcoming a great colleague from across campus to work with our experienced and talented financial aid staff,” says Laskaris. “In Dino’s years at Geisel, he has demonstrated a deep commitment to students and the quality of their experience. He’s tremendously respected across campus for his leadership, colleagueship, expertise, and strong relationships with students, faculty and staff.”

Koff succeeds Virginia Hazen, who will retire from Dartmouth this summer. Hazen has been director of financial aid since 1989.

“Ginny has been a leader in the financial aid community for many years,” Koff says. “I’m honored to follow her and continue the strong financial aid tradition here at Dartmouth. I am thrilled to join the Dartmouth financial aid team because of the College’s commitment to creating access to higher education and the overall student experience.”

Koff joined Geisel in 2008 as director of financial aid. Since 2013, as associate dean and director, he has led all aspects of Geisel’s financial aid, student affairs, registrar, academic advising, multicultural affairs, and admissions programs. “Working at Geisel has been such a tremendous experience,” he says. “The Geisel community is a very special place. The students and alumni continue to enhance the medical world. Knowing that I am still working at Dartmouth allows me to maintain these important relationships.”

At Geisel, Koff’s work has encompassed counseling and student advocacy, including educational programs for students about personal finance and financial management. “Finances can be a major stressor for students—prospective students, current students, and alumni. I look forward to collaborating with many offices across campus in order to provide our students with the needed support to reduce finance-related stress and ensure that our financial aid students are able to take full advantage of the educational opportunities here at Dartmouth,” he says.
