John Carey, the associate dean for the social sciences and the John Wentworth Professor in the Social Sciences, talks about the storming of the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday and the implications of the event.

“Going forward, what’s going to happen to the Republican Party is the big question mark,” says Carey. “Whether the Republican Party is going to embrace democracy and the Constitution or embrace, effectively, anarchy and a rejection of the rule of law, is a huge question.”
