Video: Hitting the Slopes at Dartmouth Skiway

News subtitle

On more than 100 acres, the Skiway has trails for skiers of all skill levels.

For decades, the Skiway has been an important resource and an integral part of the Dartmouth experience—this year, perhaps, more than most. For the 63rd year, the Dartmouth Skiway opened its trails this past winter and provided much needed respite for the Dartmouth community during COVID-19.

On more than 100 acres, including 30 trails ranging from the beginner’s area to the challenging Warden’s Schuss, the Skiway provides opportunities for skiers at all skill levels.

It has also been the training ground of nearly 100 Dartmouth All-Americans, more than 30 national champions, and dozens of racers who went on to compete in the Olympics, many of whom now bring their families to ski. In non-COVID-19 times, the College’s Alpine teams also frequent the Skiway three or four days a week during the season.
