Dependents, partners, and household members of Dartmouth students, staff, and faculty who are 18 years old or older—regardless of state of residency—are now eligible to sign up for one of two on-site COVID-19 vaccination clinics taking place in Thompson Arena on Wednesday, May 5, and Thursday, May 6, COVID-19 Task Force co-chairs Lisa Adams and Josh Keniston announced Tuesday afternoon.

“We are excited to be able to offer this increased access for our community,” said Adams, a physician and professor of medicine at the Geisel School of Medicine, and Keniston, the vice president of campus services and institutional projects.

The announcement provided updated details about the vaccination clinics, including the likely types of vaccines that the state of New Hampshire will be making available.

The task force now anticipates that the state will provide Dartmouth with doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine and a limited number of Johnson & Johnson/Janssen vaccines, the message said.

“Although we cannot guarantee the vaccine type with certainty, in light of the current information, we are planning to provide two options for our community,” Adams and Keniston said.

According to this plan, on both days of the clinics, the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines will be administered from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., followed by Johnson & Johnson/Janssen vaccines from 5:35 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Appointments are required, and are open only to those who have not yet received their first COVID-19 vaccine dose. The deadline to sign up is 11:59 p.m. Thursday, April 29.

Those who have already signed up will automatically be signed up for a Pfizer-BioNTech spot, but may change to Johnson & Johnson/Janssen by canceling their current appointment and selecting a new one at the following link: https://health-clinics.dartmouth.edu/.
