He won’t be standing in front of a crowd in Spaulding Auditorium, but next week Executive Vice President Rick Mills will host his first town meeting in more than a year, speaking to members of the Dartmouth community—you guessed it—virtually.
“I’m excited to be getting back to talking to folks as we look forward to beginning to emerge from COVID-19,” Mills says. “I wish we could be back at Spaulding, but we’re not quite ready for that yet.”
The hour-long webcast on April 21, beginning at noon, restarts the series of community discussions that Mills held each term before the pandemic put a stop to in-person gatherings.
The webcast will feature guests Chief Financial Officer Mike Wagner and Interim Athletics Director Peter Roby ’79. Wagner will discuss the current fiscal year budget and how Dartmouth’s finances have weathered the pandemic. Roby, who began work at Dartmouth in mid-February, will talk about his first few months on the job.
The webcast, which will be Mills’ first town hall session since January 2020, will include an opportunity for viewers to ask questions during the session.
