First-year trips, Twilight, and orientation talks are all starting blocks.

The 2022-23 academic year got underway this week after matriculation and Twilight ceremonies on Sunday.

Leading up to the big day, new students took part in first-year trips to places like Moosilauke Ravine Lodge, assembled for the Class of 2026 photo, met President Philip J. Hanlon ’77 in his Parkhurst office, and attended various sessions for orientation.

Geisel School of Medicine students also recently marked their traditional “white coat” ceremony, and the Dartmouth community celebrated the start of the school year with a lunch on the Green on Monday.
