Jared Daigrepont ’26, who served as a cryptologic linguist in the U.S. Navy, and Giovanna Lopez ’28, a former sonar technician in the Navy, decided to matriculate at Dartmouth because of its small class sizes, strong veterans community, and access to professors, among other reasons.

It also helps, Lopez notes, that Dartmouth provides a supportive environment where people also want to learn from veterans.

“People do care. People do listen. And especially as a veteran, they value our perspective,” Lopez says.
