Students in the Archaeology of Native American Sports and Games class this spring learned about the social roles they played and also got some hands-on engagement.

As anthropology professor Madeleine McLeester says, “Because Native American sports and games are so interconnected into really every facet of society, it’s a really nice lens to learn about past Native American cultures.”
