During fiscal year 2026, 73 Dartmouth employees from across the divisions retired after at least one—and in some cases several—decades of service.
They include faculty from the Geisel School of Medicine, the School of Arts and Sciences, Thayer School of Engineering, and Tuck School of Business, and staff representing dozens of specialties. They were coaches, computer engineers, librarians, custodians, painters, or welders. They taught theater, math, biology, and engineering. They worked in dining and catering, finance, administration, and marketing. And each was part of a team designed to advance Dartmouth’s mission.
Rachel Muñoz, interim leader of Human Resources, says Dartmouth deeply appreciates these recently retired employees’ longtime commitment and the breadth and depth of expertise they brought to campus.
“Staff supported students, alumni, and other employees year in and year out. Faculty delivered world-class teaching and research that challenged and inspired students throughout their academic journeys. Both were essential,” Muñoz says. “We are grateful for their work and wish them happy and fulfilling retirements.”
The following is a list of faculty and staff who retired on or before June 30, are at least 55 years old, and worked at Dartmouth for 10 years or more.
