We need to get over 90 percent of the U.S. population fully vaccinated, and that means individuals who have not yet stepped forward to be vaccinated need to really be encouraged.
Not surprisingly, Republicans and Democrats are deeply divided. Most fundamentally, we are still seeing that polarization over whether the results of the 2020 election should be accepted.
We know there are and will be some breakthrough infections in individuals who are vaccinated ... . The good news is that their illness should be very mild.
