Anthony Bourdain's creative origins come to life in this coming-of-age biopic starring Dominic Sessa and Antonio Banderas.

In 1975, 19-year-old Anthony Bourdain (Dominic Sessa) wants to be a writer, but instead takes a summer job at a Cape Cod restaurant. Under the tutelage of a Brazilian-born restaurateur (Antonio Banderas), Bourdain stumbles into the chaotic world of the restaurant kitchen, setting off a summer that will shape the course of his life and career.

Director Matt Johnson (BlackBerry) trades the full circumference biopic for a sharper, single slice of Anthony Bourdain's life. An origin story with a few charming poetic liberties (that Bourdain himself would probably "okay"), Tony is equal parts sweet and tart, a splendid tribute to mentorship, and a glimpse at the experiences that would soon make him a beloved culinary figure.
