Transforming Housing at Dartmouth
A once-in-a-generation investment in the residential experience.
Dartmouth has committed $500 million to creating at least 1,000 new beds for students, faculty, and staff in the next 10 years.
The effort is funding new undergraduate housing on West Wheelock Street, the renewal of existing undergraduate residences, and new housing for faculty and staff.
The goal is to strengthen the student community by making it possible for more than 90% of students to live on campus and to make housing more available in the surrounding communities of the Upper Valley.
$142.5 million
Amount Dartmouth alumni and friends have given to date toward an effort to raise $150 million by 2027—part of the $500 million total investment to expand housing across campus.
783 new beds
Dartmouth is on track to add by fall 2028, marking major progress toward the pledge of 1,000 within a decade.
