“We go too far and end up creating more problems than we solve,” when medicine treats small harmless lesions, says H. Gilbert Welch, a professor of medicine at the Geisel School of Medicine and at The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy & Clinical Practice, in a Wall Street Journal story about the debate over whether to treat early-stage cancer.

Welch is also a professor of business administration for the Master of Health Care Delivery Science program.
