Growing Change is a farm-to-school program that connects Dartmouth students with the Upper Valley's vibrant agricultural community and food systems. Mentors work with Pre-K, 1st, and 2nd grade students from the Dothan Brook elementary School, developing and facilitating science/food/nature curriculum and play-based activities. In the process, local youth explore food systems, life cycles, and nutrition through experiential learning in the classroom and beyond.
Time Commitment: 3-5 hours per week for at least two terms/year. This includes a weekly Growing Change shift *AND* a weekly all-team meeting on Sunday (4-5pm) throughout the term.
Winter '24 Shifts (each including 30 mins travel time):
Pre-K: Thursday mornings, 10:00 to 11:00AM
1st Grade: Tuesday afternoons, 12:45 to 2:00 PM
2nd Grade: Wednesday afternoons, from 12:45PM to 2:00PM
