The Dartmouth Political Union welcomes David Hogg and Spike Cohen for an expert debate on gun control in the United States. Gun violence prevention activist David Hogg and former Libertarian vice presidential candidate Spike Cohen will discuss various aspects of the issue, including the Second Amendment, public safety, and policy effectiveness.

Important Event Notice: The event will start promptly at 6:00 pm. Your registration guarantees you a seat until 5:50 pm. Guests will be asked to show their ID and print/mobile ticket when check-in begins at 5:30 pm outside Filene Auditorium. After 5:50 pm, no-show seats will open to those who were unable to register for tickets. Please note that large bags, backpacks, signs, and food or drink will not be allowed inside Filene Auditorium. Guests who bring these items will be asked to leave them outside Filene Auditorium.
Speaker Biographies:
David Hogg, a survivor of the Parkland school shooting, has become a prominent voice of his generation advocating against gun violence. Co-founding March For Our Lives, he led one of the nation's largest demonstrations, rallying 800,000 protestors in Washington, D.C. A Harvard graduate, David co-founded Leaders We Deserve, aiming to elect young progressives.
Spike Cohen was the Libertarian candidate for Vice President in 2020. Traveling across the country and speaking with victims of the War on Guns, he has seen firsthand the harms caused by gun control, and the dire need to end it. He is the founder of You Are The Power, a nonprofit dedicated to helping people who are being victimized by their local governments.
