Description:  This talk will focus on available evidence that fatigue and sleepiness are problems in residency and can impair performance.   I will also provide and discuss strategies to mitigate the effects of sleep loss on performance.

Bio:  Dr. Glen P. Greenough completed his residency in Neurology at DHMC and Sleep Medicine Fellowship at DHMC.  Since completion of his fellowship, he has been a faculty member in the DHMC Sleep Medicine Center.  Dr. Greenough, in addition to his clinical duties, is the current Fellowship in Sleep Medicine Program Director.  He has an interest in education in residency and is currently Chair of the Sleep Medicine Fellowship Directors Council of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.  He has also served a Chair of the Program Committee for the American Professional Sleep Societies Annual Meetings among other national committee assignments.
