Dive into the cutting-edge of geothermal energy technology and policy with our panel of distinguished experts. Sarah Jewett '12, TH'13, from Fervo Energy, will discuss Fervo's innovative efforts in commercializing enhanced geothermal systems. Learn about Fervo’s recent partnership with Southern California Edison to bolster firm, clean electricity across the region.

We will also hear from California Energy Commission Commissioner Andrew McAllister '87, a prominent figure in shaping energy transition policies. He will shed light on California’s pioneering energy initiatives, including new load management standards and other tools that can modulate energy use to optimize renewable energy generation, enhance grid reliability, and reduce utility bills.

Dartmouth Sustainability Director Rosi Kerr ’97 will outline Dartmouth’s ambitious $500 million decarbonization project, which she is helping to lead. She will highlight the deployment of geoexchanges on campus.

The panel will be moderated by Roger Wakeman, Dartmouth’s Vice President for Facilities and Energy.

This event will take place in the Irving Institute Atrium (first floor, Irving building, 33 Tuck Mall) and will also be livestreamed. Please let us know if you plan to attend.

This event is sponsored by the Arthur L. Irving Institute for Energy and Society and the Class of 1972 Endowed Lecture Series on Great Issues in Energy, Climate, and Society.
