Are you wondering about how to transform your teaching practices in the era of Generative AI? Are you curious about the capabilities of different AI tools? Are you looking for an opportunity to collaborate with other colleagues grappling with the same challenges? This interactive workshop offers a tailored approach to integrating generative AI into your courses. Join us to explore and think through the implications of GenAI for your specific course, and adapt your design accordingly with the support of facilitators and feedback from peers.
The GenAI Teaching Institute is for you if you would like to:
- Increase your GenAI literacy and learn about where different tools are helpful for teaching and learning
- Explore how other faculty are utilizing GenAI in their teaching
- Gain hands-on experience with GenAI tools in the context of your curriculum
- Consider how GenAI might help students achieve your course learning objectives
- Plan and receive feedback on assignments, activities, and policies that actively involve students in using GenAI
…. and do so in a collaborative workshop setting with staff support and many opportunities for dialogue, questions, and iteration.
Preliminary agenda:
Tuesday, Dec 10
9:00 - 11:30: Faculty showcase and lessons learned: hear from faculty who are already using GenAI in their teaching about the why, the how, and the outcomes of their experiments. Note: This session is open to the Dartmouth community at large.
