Dan Goor, of Brooklyn99, Parks & Rec, and The Office joins Professor Russell Muirhead and Professor Charlie Wheelan in conversation.

What can comedy be in the age of Trump. Does polarization make it impossible to laugh together? Can Hollywood entertain the whole country – or are we too divided for that?

Dan Goor was the co-creator and showrunner of NBC’s Golden Globe-winning comedy series “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” which ran for eight seasons and 153 episodes. He also co-created and executive produced “Killing It" on Peacock and executive produced NBC’s “Grand Crew.” Prior to working on “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” Goor was an executive producer, writer, and director on NBC’s Peabody Award-winning comedy “Parks and Recreation.” He also served as a consultant for "The Office" on NBC.

Dan got his start as a writer for “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,” before writing on “Late Night with Conan O’Brien,” winning Emmys for his work on both shows.

Goor resides in Los Angeles with his wife and their two daughters.
