Join Peter Kilmarx, MD, MPH (D'83, MED'90), Acting Director of the NIH Fogarty International Center, for an in-depth introduction to Fogarty’s role in advancing global health through research funding, training, and international collaboration. This talk will outline Fogarty’s mission, structure, and strategic priorities, with a focus on how its programs support investigator-initiated research, research capacity strengthening, and career development across a wide range of global health disciplines.

Designed for students, researchers, and clinicians, the session will highlight funding mechanisms and partnership models that enable impactful, equitable research in low- and middle-income countries, as well as opportunities to integrate clinical expertise with global health research. Dr. Kilmarx will also discuss how Fogarty-supported research contributes to stronger health systems, addresses emerging and persistent health challenges, and enhances global and U.S. health security.

This event is free and open to the public, no ticket required.
