Abstract: In this talk, I will provide an overview of my undergraduate research program at Seattle University (SU). Over the past decade, I have developed a suite of high-precision experimental techniques for testing short-range gravity and performing dynamic force microscopy, including an autocollimator, a Michelson interferometer, and phase-sensitive detection methods. These techniques have been progressively integrated into undergraduate biophysics research, where they are uniquely suited to address challenging biological questions.
In collaboration with researchers in the Biology Department at SU and the Fred Hutch Cancer Center in Seattle, our current goal is to develop specialized experimental tools to investigate the dynamics of BrxR, a genetic regulator that controls the expression of the BREX defense system.Hosted by Professor Roberto Onofrio Zoom Meeting Link: https://dartmouth.zoom.us/j/98435866316 Location
