Roghi’s visit will bring historical research into conversation with contemporary debates about the roles of schools, language, and education in democratic life. Through direct engagement with students, she will contextualize the relationships among linguistic access, schooling, social inclusion, and civic life, while introducing figures such as Carlo Collodi, Don Lorenzo Milani, and Gianni Rodari as central participants in the long effort to create a shared language and a more democratic culture.
