Learning to look: When we look at something, do we really see it? “Visual literacy is the ability to construct meaning from images,” says Brian Kennedy, director of Dartmouth’s Hood Museum of Art. It’s a form of critical thinking and a universal language that, he argues, is more necessary than ever in today’s digital age. Kennedy presented his ideas at Dartmouth’s inaugural TedX conference on April 17, 2010.
