A study led by Dartmouth-Hitchcock pediatrician Paul Palumbo, MD, supports a new strategy for treating HIV-infected children in resource-limited settings.

The study, published October 14 in the New England Journal of Medicine, notes the urgent need for “alternative strategies for the prevention of HIV transmission from mother to child, as well as for the treatment of HIV infection.”
