Wells Native Part of Team Trying to Build a Better Surgical Sponge (The Portland Press Herald)

Jonathan Guerrette, Devon Anderson, and Nathan Niparko, who all received their Bachelor of Engineering degrees from Thayer School of Engineering in June 2010, are finalists in the National Collegiate Inventors Competition for their project creating a surgical sponge that harmlessly degrades if accidentally left inside a patient during surgery.
