Dartmouth Engineering Professor’s Company Wins GE’s Ecomagination Challenge


Thayer School Professor Victor Petrenko’s company, IceCode LLC, has won one of five Innovation Awards in GE’s “Ecomagination Challenge: Powering the Grid.” The awards were presented for technologies and ideas to create a smarter, cleaner, more efficient electric grid. IceCode was cited for its “technology that instantly de-ices wind turbine blades so they never slow or shut down.”
