Facebook is using a new Microsoft tool called PhotoDNA to scan and eliminate child-pornography images, which are proliferating online. News Talk 97.3 KIRO FM in Seattle, Wash., discussed this new technology with Hany Farid, the William H. Neukom 1964 Distinguished Professor of Computational Science at Dartmouth. Farid is a leading expert on digital image forensics, and he helped Microsoft develop PhotoDNA.
