Professor of Studio Art Esmé Thompson discusses her current exhibition at the Hood Museum, “Esmé Thompson:  The Alchemy of Design.” Thompson’s work reflects her interest in organic and inorganic repetition, which grew out of the craft and pattern movement of the 1970s. The recipient of an Honorary Master of Arts from the College, Thompson is both an accomplished artist and a beloved teacher. The exhibition runs through May 29.
