Charles “Buddy” Roemer formally announced his candidacy for the GOP presidential nomination in an appearance in Hanover, pitching a populist campaign against free trade and special interest money that he says have cost the U.S. manufacturing jobs and corrupted Washington. Roemer was in town to speak to students and give a public lecture in the “Leading Voices in Politics and Policy” lecture series.
