What’s harder than climbing Mount Washington? Climbing it while carrying a canoe.

“So we’re climbing and taking a canoe with us up to the summit of Mount Washington,” Piotr Teterwak ’14 told WCVB-TV News in Boston. The climb has been a Dartmouth Outing Club summer tradition tradition since 1974.

“Most people are pretty amused. Some are a little concerned ... but overall [we get] positive reactions,” another student said. It took the group close to eight hours to reach the peak.
