The Associated Press caught up with some of Dartmouth’s first-year trip takers at Moosilauke Ravine Lodge and also surveyed other outdoor orientation programs. “Since Dartmouth pioneered the concept in 1935,” the AP says, “outdoor orientation programs have spread to colleges and universities across the country, grown in size and changed in scope.”
