Professor of Government Linda Fowler told The Texas Tribune that New Hampshire voters may not take kindly to Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s social conservatism.

“This is a libertarian state in many ways, or even socially progressive,” said Fowler, who is also the Frank J. Reagan 1909 Chair in Policy Studies. “Gay marriage is legal in the state, and there’s a strong idea that government regulation should not affect people’s personal lives.”
