In line with the Dartmouth Library’s tradition of service and culture of innovation, it was among the first libraries to test-drive Serials Solutions’ next-generation discovery service Summon. Summon employs a single search box with which a user searches all of a library’s resources, including the library catalog, using a unified index.

Library Journal asked Dartmouth Library administrators about their experiences on the cutting edge, as a beta tester of a service now used by more than 300 libraries worldwide.
