Two Museums Show Native American Art, Then And Now (The Boston Globe)

The Boston Globe has given the Hood Museum of Art’s ongoing Native American exhibition a rave review, calling it one of “the most thrilling shows you are likely to see this year.”

“Native American Art at Dartmouth” continues through March 11. It coincides with a similar exhibition at Massachusetts’ Peabody Essex Museum, which Globe art reviewer Sebastian Smee also praises. “Both [shows] are underpinned by the expertise and personal voices of Native Americans. And both will take your imagination to places it may never have expected to go,” he writes.
