In the interview, President Kim discusses topics including how the best career advice he ever received led him to Dartmouth; his favorite book, The Miracle of Mindfulness by Thich Nhat Hanh; and the challenges facing higher education in the wake of the financial crisis.

He said that it is imperative for institutions of higher education to continue pursuing new knowledge and “maintain our commitment to teaching young people, so that they go out and prevent these kinds of terrible things from happening in the future.”
