The first event was a carnival, “Consent Day,” hosted by the Sexual Abuse Awareness Program. Fieldstock runs through Sunday, August 12, and features activities such as a mechanical bull riding challenge, chariot races, and a concert in the BEMA. The charity organization Habitat for Humanity will also host a barbeque cook-off as a fundraiser. Participating teams vie for points in each competition, with the overall winning team receiving a $650 prize.
The festival features activities for individuals as well as teams. Fieldstock Chair Larry Meadows ’14 said organizers hope to increase this year’s participation.
“The other chairs and I wanted to promote Fieldstock as an event for everyone,” said Meadows. “This year, we have a good number of teams representing a variety of organizations on campus.”
Schedules for the event are available in the lobby of the Collis Center. Email fieldstock2012@gmail.com for more information.
