Dartmouth’s Big Green Bus made dozens of stops during its summer-long cross-country journey, promoting sustainability and encouraging communities to participate in the environmental movement.

During a recent stop, reports the Salina Journal, the Big Green Bus crew spoke to students at Kansas Wesleyan University about sustainability and about the mission of their trip. “The bus provides a spectacle to help start those conversations,” Kate Desrochers ’12 told the Salina Journal.

The bus, which can run on either vegetable oil or biodiesel, has other sustainable elements as well, including solar panels and energy-efficient light bulbs.
