Calling it a “frankly spellbinding love story,” The New York Times praises a former Dartmouth undergraduate’s debut novel.

The Girl With Borrowed Wings, by Rinsai Rosetti ’12, tells the story of a teenage girl whose family settles in a fictional desert deep in the Middle East after years of living in other countries.

The Times says Rosetti “seems to write of expatriate experiences she knows well. But she also writes about obstacles nearly all young adults face.”

The book, which made the Times’ “Editors’ Choice” list on August 31, has been reviewed in a number of places, including the Los Angeles Times and Kirkus Reviews.
