Elliott Fisher, professor of community and family medicine at The Geisel School of Medicine and director of Population Health at The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice, talks to the newspaper about the evolving relationship.

“Physicians are experts on likely outcomes, likely effects and side effects. But patients are experts on their preferences,” Fisher says.
