The leaves were changing color and I fell in love with what seemed the quintessential American campus,” Johnston tells The Independent. “The academic resources here are phenomenal and I’m really pleased I’ve had the chance to pursue different subjects.”

She continues, “I’ve met an incredible mix of passionate, driven people and see this as a tremendous opportunity to immerse myself in American culture and learn about its history.”
